Seeed Studio Wio Terminal ATSAMD51 with BLE 5.0 and Wi-Fi

The Wio Terminal is an ATSAMD51-based microcontroller with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity, powered by Realtek RTL8720DN and compatible with Arduino and MicroPython. Currently, the wireless connectivity is only supported by Arduino. The Wio Terminal is more than just a single embedded function module: it has a 2.4-inch LCD screen, a built-in IMU (LIS3DHTR), a microphone, a buzzer, a microSD card slot, a light sensor, an infrared transmitter (IR 940 nm), as well as two multifunctional Grove ports for the Grove ecosystem and 40 Raspberry Pi compatible GPIO pins for further add-ons. All these practical extensions are carefully housed in a compact housing, making it an efficient and product-ready product. Equipped with Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO, it can be connected as a slave device to a Raspberry Pi.

Features:

  • Powerful MCU: Microchip ATSAMD51P19 with ARM Cortex-M4F core running at 120MHz
  • Reliable wireless connectivity: Equipped with Realtek RTL8720DN, dual-band 2.4Ghz / 5Ghz Wi-Fi
  • Complete system with screen + development board + input/output interface + housing
  • Highly integrated design: 2.4" LCD screen, MCU, IMU, WIFI, BT and other practical add-ons in a compact housing with built-in magnets and mounting holes allow you easy setup of your IoT project
  • Raspberry Pi 40-pin compatible GPIO allows installation as a peripheral device for Raspberry Pi
  • On-board external multifunctional Grove ports: Compatible with over 300 plug & play Grove modules for IoT exploration
  • USB OTG Support: Can act as a USB host (reads data or signals from a mouse, a keyboard, a MIDI device, a 3D printer, etc.) or as a USB client (emulates a mouse, a keyboard or a MIDI device on a host PC)
  • Support for Arduino, CircuitPython, Micropython, ArduPy, AT Firmware, Visual Studio Code
  • Azure-certified device: Capture and tag real-world data and visualize it via Azure IoT Central
