The WisMesh Tag is a compact GPS tracker for the Meshtastic network, ideal for outdoor use thanks to its robust design. The device utilizes the powerful Nordic nRF52840 microcontroller with a 64 MHz clock frequency and 1 MB flash memory as well as the Semtech SX1262 LoRa transceiver for stable long-distance communication in the 868–923 MHz band. An integrated GNSS module (AT6558R) provides precise location data, while the LIS2DH type accelerometer provides position and motion information. The internal 1000 mAh lithium battery ensures long runtime, and the device is charged via a magnetic USB cable, which also serves as a USB interface for DFU mode and log access. All antennas (LoRa, Bluetooth LE 5.0, and GPS) are integrated into the housing, keeping the tracker slim and requiring no external antennas. With its IP66 protection rating, the WisMesh Tag is protected against dust and strong splashing water and can be used in temperature ranges from –20 °C to +60 °C. Two buttons – one for operation and one as a user button – allow switching on, resetting, or activating special functions, while multicolored LEDs indicate charging, operation, and Bluetooth status. The palm-sized tracker measures 59 × 90 × 9 mm and weighs only 124 g, making it comfortable to carry in a pocket or on a backpack. Thanks to the pre-installed Meshtastic firmware, the device can be used directly and configured via the Meshtastic app for Android, iOS, or the web client.
