Thanks to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the valve operates without a hub, can serve as a Wi-Fi range extender and BLE gateway, and can be conveniently controlled via the Shelly Smart Control app or voice assistants like Alexa. The precise valve control from 0 to 100% allows for exact regulation of water flow, so that irrigation systems, pool installations, or house connections can be optimally adjusted. An optional DS18B20 temperature sensor enables temperature-based automation to protect pipes when temperatures drop and prevent frozen pipes. In case of a power outage, the emergency power function ensures the valve automatically opens or closes. Power is supplied via a standard USB Type-A connection with 2A, making the installation simple and flexible. Combined with a Shelly Flood Sensor, the valve forms an effective automated water leak prevention system that detects water leaks and immediately shuts off the main water supply.
