MP1584 3A Switching Regulator DC-DC Step-Down Converter

The MP1584 is an adjustable voltage regulator that produces a lower adjustable output voltage from a higher input voltage. The advantage of this switching regulator is its very high efficiency in a very small size.

Info: The input voltage must be 1.5 V higher than the output voltage! The chip has built-in over-temperature protection. When operated with high power without cooling, it can deliver 3A current at 5 V. Also note that at a higher output voltage the output current is lower than 3A.
